Paricá plywood panels are produced with high-quality rotary-cut veneers of Schizolobium amazonicum, the most cultivated native forest species in Brasil: the raw material used by plywood industries are sustainable as they come from planted forests (reforestation), reducing the deforestation of native forests.
Forests planted with Paricá occupies a total of 90,000 ha, spread between the states of Pará, Maranhão and Tocantins.
It’s a fast growing timber species with clear cut between 5 and 7 years. Its wood has a white-light yellow color, smooth surface, which allows a silky finish. It’s low density allows to realize panels of only 380-410 Kg/m³
Paricá plywood is one of the lightest veneered-based products, nice appearance with clear color uniformity and resistance. Its wood provides easiness of cutting the wood panels, allowing a broad applicability and multiples uses: furniture industry, construction, packaging.
The standard dimensions most commonly produced are:
2500 x 1250 mm
2440 x 1220 mm
2280 x 1220 mm
Thickness ranges from 4 to 25 mm
